Dr. Douglas McMillan – Managing Director
Dr. Douglas McMillan is an environmental scientist, a full member of IEMA and the Institute of Biology of Ireland and a member of the Society of Biology, having received an Honours BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Durham and a PhD in Environmental Science. He has an IOSH Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and is a graduate member of IOSH and vice-chariman of the South-East District of IOSH. He is also a an Energy Agreements Support Manager for the SEAI, a Passive House consultant, a member of the Association of Energy Engineers and a qualified greenhouse gas verifier. He is a qualified auditor of ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 management systems and has extensive knowledge of the associated environmental and health and safety legislation having produced registers of legislation for the Irish, Northern Irish, UK and other European jurisdictions.
Douglas has nearly two decades of training experience including presentation of courses in the fields of EHS, carbon, energy and quality management systems and auditing, EHS legislation, energy management, EHS risk assessment and control, practical EHS training, BER and energy surveying, noise monitoring and waste management. He also provides professional inputs on environmental science and management policy issues.
Dr. Norman McMillan – Director
Dr. Norman McMillan C.Eng., F.EI., C.Phys., F.Inst.P., FRSA is a Chartered Engineer and Physicist and a Fellow of leading engineering, physics and educational/industrial societies. He has cutting edge experience in the design of solar and PV installations and low energy buildings. He is a founder of A1-ratings, expert in several areas of energy management of importance to industry having edited the proceedings of the Energy Forum (DIT Energy Lab, 2010) and provides strategic professional inputs on complex energy policy issues.
Norman is the inventor of the drop spectrometer and other microfluidic systems and is acknowledged as an international pioneer in nanotechnology. Based on his many years of research he offers a wide range of consultancy on analytical and instrument calibration consultancy for either industry or the general public. He has extensive experience of project management, and offers educational courses in energy saving and management for solar based systems that draw on his years of teaching photonics, optical engineering and analytical instrumentation in third-level before taking early retirement to work on establishing various commercialisations of his research.

Logan McMillan – Director
Logan McMillan, Bachelor OD, IT Carlow. Logan has previously worked as a project supervisor on civil engineering jobs at Moylan Consulting Engineers and IE Consulting. He has extensive experience in waste water management, surveying, EIA process, river protection management, sustainable drainage design, flood prediction and flood management. He also has experience in risk assessments, site management, waste management and environmental monitoring analysis. Logan is a qualified civil engineer with over 10 years of working experience in drainage, flood management design and Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems.
